The Maharishi Institute is a new 'Self-Funding' education model that is managed by the Community & Individual Development Association (CIDA). Maharishi is currently scaling up from 300 students to 1,500 within the next two years, and is supported by LRMG in their endeavours to improve the lives of previously disadvantaged youths by educating them out of poverty.

Maharishi recently received a global education award as an ‘early stage model’ with the potential to scale and replicate, in educating thousands of disadvantaged youth per year across South Africa and beyond. LRMG have been huge supporters of CIDA for many years and initially donated millions of Rands worth of eLearning to their ‘virtually free’ academy, CIDA City Campus.

Over the last 10 years CIDA has educated 5000 people, who currently earn over R230 million collectively, in annual salaries. The organisation has directly touched over 50,000 South Africans and we continue to support them as they help students’ bring their dreams to life.
